Taking the Mrs down Newland Ave tonight for a meal. Can anyone recommend a good place to eat. I know there's quite a few to choose from.
Henry Yeast and Sons opposite Zest, owned by the same people as larkins but has the better chef and a wider range of world beers. Fairly inexpensive, cost me and the missus 36 quid for 2 mains 2 deserts and a few drinks each.
I went there recently. If you want to look really posh and order something with a name of 14 syllables it's great. If you want a proper meal to fill you up seek alternative arrangements!
Piola's and Henry yeast both top drawer, latter cheaper option with really fit barmaids, one with breasts that defy the laws of gravity
I'm far too old to be larking near a bridge Dutch!! Besides the mrs isnt willing to play chicken in her high heels.
Cheers Dave not heard of this place. Think the mrs is veering towards Ruby Lounge, anyone been there?
It will be on underneath dont worry about that mate, but i will be wearing a jacket for my good lady to slip on as the evening draws to a close. I'm undecided as yet, I've pulled back the curtain on the Rheinhold wardrobe and i have to say I'm truly dazzled. I'm taking some time with this one as its Newland, you know how stylish those Polish gentlemen look parading up and down! And i just cant compete in the mullet stakes so the attire has to be spot on!!
Is that little chippy still going at the end of Newland Ave? (opposite the old Pools Corner) I seem to remember it was shut last time I passed.
I feel your dilemma. I always say if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That said sup a six pack of Superbok (9% vol) before you go out and make sure you double up with vodka chasers. The cheaper the vodka the better. Piss yourself and fall asleep in a doorway by eight. When the OB turn up stick the head on one and projectile vomit in another coppers face. No one will even notice the missing mullet. Job done.
But if Chazz did that his good lady would be left on her own and could be prayed upon by someone like Party!!
