The ex City defender has left Bradford and is now a free agent. Anyone know what his plans are? Always keep an eye out for him as he's my sister's neighbour

Why doesn't your Sister ask him? He's tumbling down the leagues at an alarming rate.

He was going to Grimsby, but they decided not to bother.

I noticed yesterday that Nicky Featherstone has already been released from Scunthorpe, though he was on a non-contract basis. He'll no doubt be Ferriby bound then.

I'm not sure why Wiseman went to Preston, he had offers from Championship clubs.

They were all Barmby's Babes and we would be League 2 by now if we hadn't sacked him.

I do think Wiseman would of been a decent player for us if he'd of been given a chance.
I remember we use to sign a right back every week then.

Wiseman was okay, the others were generally very mediocre, though Cullen was an odd one. Stick him in the reserves and he looked like a world beater, stick him in the first team and he was offside every three minutes and looked clueless. Cairney and Cooper were obviously the cream of our youth set-up and both will have good careers in the game, neither would look out of place playing for us now.

'Cairney and Cooper....neither would look out of place playing for us now' are you mad ? Cairney is doing well at a mediocre Blackburn team ( 14 th in the championship ) so who would he replace in out midfield ? Cooper ? Leeds are even worse. Neither would get on the bench at City

Cairney wouldn't replace anyone, I didn't say he'd make the team, I said he wouldn't look out of place in our current team and he wouldn't, he's a Premier League footballer in waiting.

And Bruce makes our bench, so Cooper definitely could.

I have some sympathy with the view over Cairney he looked for a time like he might develop into a truly top class player, Everton were rumoured to be interested I believe , however Bruce clearly felt he was not good enough despite his virtues. The midfield players now available to us would make Cairney stick out like a sore thumb I'm afraid, as for equating Bruce and cooper , come on, Bruce may not be the best but he is head and shoulders above cooper in what he brings when he plays. Leave aside his family connection Bruce snr knows his centre halfs and he clearly felt cooper was no where near as good as Bruce jnr.
We've moved on and moved up cooper and Cairney are the past I'm afraid, hopefully with an improved academy we can produce some youngsters who really can go on to command a first team place at city.

You could say the same about Jack Hobbs, who's also better than Bruce jnr.

I tend to think Bruce snr judgement is the one to go with.

Alex Bruce as much as I like him he wouldn't be anywhere near another Premier League squad other then Burnley.

Cooper if keeps developing as has will play Premier League football in the next three years.

He was brilliant in the Liverpool home game, he was equally brilliant in the FA Cup final, but he's never a Premier League footballer in a million years(as TheCasual says, he wouldn't get anywhere near another Premier League team, unless they appoint his dad as their manager).
