..haunting innit, just what Moyes needs as he roams around the West coast of Scotland this summer ! Written by Vladimir Cosma (Romanian), uilleann pipes played by Liam O'Flynn (Irish) and specially composed for a Welsh (Harlech TV) & Canadian (CBC) TV co-produced TV series based on R.L. Stevenson's "Kidnapped". Was airing over here in the early 70's when I first emigrated. For some reason it soothed the troubled breast brought on by separation from the "old country". Well that and copious amounts of crap Canadian beer !! You really wanted to know that....lol
Moyes is from Scotland; but all that imagery is from Ireland and that depressing lead instrument is the Uileann pipes, often described as the sound of a cackling old woman.
A lot of chewing gum seems to have accumulated on the floors of the erudite halls of Harvard - apparently lots of Business Undergrads wandering about aimlessly and mumbling about the shortcomings of one of their lecturers!!!
Has Frankie been browsing on here... Frankie Boyle ‏@frankieboyle Whoever follows Moyes is going to have some really big clown shoes to fill.
Welcome Home David - arrival committee at the border already in full swing for the hero's return. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BePu3Smz9vU&list=PL7D9CC94158BB718C
The Manchester Utd players need to take a long hard look at themselves for a start as they have been as much to blame as David Moyes. In saying that, Moyes should never have binned SAF backroom staff either. That was his biggest mistake. imo.,
You're probably right. It's like when Matt Busby left all over again. They got a couple of worthy enough, yet ultimately no mark managers in that failed. Wasn't until they got a big character in like Tommy Docherty that they turned it around. Shame for them he shagged the physios wife.
This is all way over the top for me, the newspaper coverage, TV news, its not as if Man Utd haven't had a managerial crisis before, anyone remember a certain Wilf McGuinness taking over then Frank O'Farrell? And in answer to your question busdriver, yes they have been relegated before, 1974, and the indication was that former player Denis Law was the guy who condemed Utd to the 2nd Div with a back heeled goal whilst playing for Man City. In fact United were doomed before that goal was scored, here's a link. http://www.aboutmanutd.com/man-u-seasons/1973-1974.html I think this is a perfect example of football in general being over inflated when a manager looses his job is portrayed as a national disaster, get a grip he got a damn sight better redundancy package than most of us could hope for.
Jurgan klopp has ruled himself out of the Manchester United job but said his brother Klipity might be interested.
