Any recommendations (car or dealer) - I'm looking for a small economical cheap car preferably diesel don't want to spend more than a thousand pound, been looking on Ebay Gumtree etc for the last couple of days but I've missed out on a few (seems to me local dealers are snapping up the private car sales and selling on again at a profit) anyone recommend any fair and unscrupulous 2nd hand car dealers (if such a thing exist) or has anyone got a suitable car for sale thanks
Put a wanted advert on Gumtree/local press/whatever and be specific, make it clear you have cash and are ready to buy. Only buy from someone who's owned the car longer than a year. Buy as local as possible and make it clear where you're from. Ask if you can take the car for an MOT, it's the cheapest evaluation you'll ever get. Don't buy off the trade.
