I was reading an article on Gus Poyet and his ongoing Brighton & Hove saga. Anyway, in there it mentioned he was something like the sixth longest serving manager in England at the time. Even in the current climate this surprised me. Looking further into it and it's a bit of a shocker. You currently have Arsene at number one with 17 seasons of service, then Tisdale at number two with 7 seasons and city old boy Greg Abbott at 5 seasons. Eleven managers have lasted out more than 2 seasons and only twenty six have been in post for more than 1 season. Shear madness. Brucie comes in at number 35. http://www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/longest-current.html
Didn't it say today during the game that Cloughie is the current longest serving manager with four and a half years in the Championship?
