Some very tasty ties... Manchester City v Barcelona Olympiakos v Manchester United AC Milan v Atletico Madrid Bayer Leverkusen v Paris Saint Germain Galatasaray v Chelsea FC Schalke v Real Madrid Zenit St. Petersburg v Borussia Dortmund Arsenal v Bayern Munich
If Man City knock Barcelona out, they'll win it. I've just said that. Proper tests for them and Arsenal.
Man City were all over Bayern with Aguero on the bench. Man City were winning 3-2 and only needed one more goal to go through as group winners. Pellegrini didn't bring Aguero on. When asked why he said "I didnt think we'd get the two goals we needed in 10 minutes". Basically he didn't do his homework. They missed the chance to play a team that finished 2nd in their group. TEAMS WHO FINISHED FIRST United Madrid PSG Bayern Chelsea Dortmund Athletico Barca TEAMS WHO FINISHED SECOND Bayer Leverkusen Galatasaray Olympiakos City Schalke Arsenal Zenit Milan As you cant play a team from your own country nor your own group... If City finished first then they'd have played any of; Bayer Leverkusen Galatasaray Olympiakos Schalke Zenit Milan Instead they were going to face one of; Madrid PSG Dortmund Athletico Barca He ****ed up.
Barcelona certainly would not have wanted this tie whatsoever. I honestly can see Man City winning this one. The first leg at the Etihad is key. If they keep a clean sheet, City will have a fantastic chance. Even one of the national papers told everyone... please log in to view this image
My predictions to go through Manchester City v Barcelona (away goals will matter it think) Olympiakos v Manchester United AC Milan v Atletico Madrid Bayer Leverkusen v Paris Saint Germain Galatasaray v Chelsea FC Schalke v Real Madrid Zenit St. Petersburg v Borussia Dortmund Arsenal v Bayern Munich
I have a feeling Man City might just get one over on Barca, better chance in the early stages than in the semis or final.
Yes of course that was a blunder. But you can't put all the blame on Pelligrini for what was essentially a "random" draw and an assumption that Aguero would definitely have helped them score a 4th.
Fair shout. Gala have done well this year and Chelsea been dodgy at home. But I think they'll step it up. I can see Gala playing well at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea playing well in Turkey. So away goals again.
