One for the more technical types.

Why are Karoo IPs no longer dynamic?

I've been trying to join a BF3 server for two days but since I've previously logged onto it with another account on this IP, and because of that it won't let me on with this one. I can understand keeping the same IP for a day maybe, but it's been like three now.

That's news to me... Anyway, go turn your router off for 5 minutes and when you are back online you will be reallocated another IP.

My internet was dynamic but the ip would never change, I rung up Karoo and they changed it for me. Although they did say they could only do it once...Karoo are absolute ****, My internet kept just cutting out about every 20 minutes (was dire when playing fifa) for around 4 months, I rang up countless of times and they didn't nothing. They ended up lowering the speed of my internet...Pay £40 a month for that ****...

It's basically down to DHCP lease time, (the standard for an internal Windows network is 8 days but ISPs could be completely different). Your router will try and renew its IP address half-way through the lease time and will request the same IP address. So if Karoo have lengthened the lease time there's more of a chance of you obtaining the same IP address. Turn your router off for a few days and it's likely you will be allocated a different IP address.

Do they not offer static IP addresses as an option? I have that as standard with my ISP.

We don't offer static IP's as standard as far as I'm aware. You need to request them. If its for gamung you can get given a gaming one free of charge.
