Unfortunately with modern medicine he could live for many years, the only good thing is he'll know little about it
I know over recent weeks I've spoken a lot about my Dad and the brain tumour he recently died from, but the one thing that I said would have been far far worse would be witnessing years of Alzheimer's and Dementia. It's an evil horrible illness, (and I know of someone who has been suffering from it for ten years, since the age of 61). The sufferer probably does not know too much about it, but for friends and relatives it must be absolutely abhorrent.
