No mate. Actually been very similar to the Coast.
I'm told each week I'm not here is around the minus 1 morning and night but I've been quite lucky, so far..

Aussie, for the last few months we've been watching the Australian version of "Grand Designs" hosted by an Architect Peter Maddison.....there has been some brilliant buidings constructed on the programme in some spectacular settings, there is certainly some interesting architecture involved......most of which highlights the outdoor living lifestyle, something we can only dream about.....

Thanks 'qldranger' ..... Will be in touch.

'Tramore' yes, it is a good show and we do enjoy the weather pattern. That's what I'm doing here. This is the third insulated panel roof patio job at the same residence. I've just finish building a huge outdoor living area with kitchenette etc, all fully tiled, overlooking the pool. Now I'm doing an outdoor spa.
    Cheers.

Aussie does everybody in Australia have solar panels. For the life of me I cannot understand why they aren't everywhere. Even in this country a big homegrown scheme could surely stimulate job creation and provide safe energy. Is there something I don't know?

Hi mate, yes, the government Introduced special incentives to install solar, which many people did.
However, like any govt incentive, they stuffed it up and reduced the incentives and packages.
Now, they have further reduced the 'buy back' power rates and they keep eroding the incentives to purchase solar.
Plus, with many systems coming out of Asia, there are now increasing issues wth quality / breakdowns.

I don't have it yet and as a builder, l don't trust the quality and think that most systems will be useless in a very short while. They are already starting to catch on fire. It was on the news recently.

Thanks Aussie. I still cannot understand why the technology is not better. We can build drones that can take a centipede out on an Iranian hillside but not effective solar panels.

Toowoomba? That's a suburb of Brisbane mate. You need to do a job or two in Mount Isa, get out of the big city.

SB, l'm thinking if the same distance applied over there, I'd be in a different country!

Cheers Queens, my son was building houses in Chinchilla for four months during summer.… said you'd fry an egg on a can of paint, it was that hot.

Can somebody please give this worn out supporter some good news?

This job has now had a fourth extension to it.
I'm going to name it, Hotel California. ( you can check out anytime you want but you can never leave )

    Help!

Hate to hear the bad news, Queens!
How's it been ..... l tell you, try installing a patio roof in a wind tunnel, did l mention freezing my tits off?
How about having friends text you that they'd had the day off and now their half cut, nice.
Tomorrow, I'm thinking about wearing a man bra to keep my tits warm.
Get this, l had a pee and it froze in an ark like shape before it hit the ground.

    Yep, it's sheer blo-ody luxury l say.
