Been helping my old man move house recently. Found a set of cigarette cards in a box of stuff that my grandad gave him - mint or near mint condition. Must be about 20-25 cards so possibly a full set, including Raich Carter, who was the most recognisable player in the set. So Raich played for us between 1948-1952, must be from that time period. Blew my mind, amazing piece of history. Don't want to sell really, its a bit of an heirloom. But does anyone on here have anything similar, and out of curiosity does anyone know the approximate value?
Great find, mate! Check on ebay; also just Google: cigarette cards - it's amazing how much you can find by looking in unlikely spots. What is the cigarette maker's name - Wills/Players/Gallahers? Good luck.

Cheers fellas, can't recall what the manufacturer was, will check next time I go round. I feel like they should be in a memorabilia museum (if we had one) for people to see and appreciate the club's history (now more than ever).
The cards are most likely the ones given away each week in the programme.I know I collected a heap of them which I think my brother kept.
There used to be an online museum where you could post pictures of memorabilia, not sure whether it is still going.
I have two sets of cigarette cards of the 1907/08 and 1921/22 Hull City teams which I bought at Sotheby's auction. Very rare and in mint condition. The set with Raich from the late 40s is more common as the individual cards were included in match programs at the time. I also have over 1000 Hull City programmes going back to 1947, mainly home games. If anyone has any pre-WW II programmes I'd be very interested. Contact me on here. Thanks
I don't have many programmes, but have Hull City vs Wrexham from 1947. I've a few from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Also have the one from when I was a mascot and oddly still have the one from Jeff Radcliffes testimonial game vs Spurs
