Quite a shock result to say the least. What are the odds of us getting a similar scoreline at Anfield on Wednesay??????
I was more thinking Liverpool will take that result out on us lol. Didn't expect Hull to win that, especially at 3 - 1.
If we could get a draw against Liverpool I would be very happy, they've become our bogey team I fear them a lot more then the other big clubs usually Gerrard, Lucas and Henderson play the game of their life and Suarez is always on top form.
On the BBC thread: "Liverpool were not up to standard today. But to spin that on its head, you have to take your hat off to Hull manager Steve Bruce. He was very tactically astute, playing a 5-3-2 formation to start and then changing it on the hour-mark to a 4-3-3. Those decisions won it for me." Maybe this could work for us? Mind you, Liverpool at home will be a different animal.
I watched the second half and Liverpool were very ordinary, but City will probably catch a backlash on Wednesday. Hull were a bit lucky to get two deflected goals but they were certainly the better team in the second half. Liverpool also seemed very vulnerable to breaks. I wonder if CH might play Redmond and Olsson in the wide positions for that reason.
RER - thanks for the report. I'd like to see CH try something more radical away from home, As has been sai, Liverpool at home will be much more formidable than away.
Sturridge is out for several weeks, and today Liverpool clearly missed Enrique, who is also out following a knee op. Their current league position is a bit false IMO. Hull's gameplan home and away is always based first and foremost on solid defence. We need to get back to that, particularly away from home.
A bit of grit from Norwich and I'll be happy. It's that mean edge we miss away from home. Not in the oppositions faces enough!
How about 1-1 which we achieved on our first visit there. Holt grabbing the equaliser and a 'wonder save' from Ruddy in the final minute.
Suarez got called for an elbow to the head early in the Hull game. I was really hoping he'd get a red. Liverpool without Suarez it sturridge is far less frightening. Would love a gift like the two Skirtel gave Hull
how about continued better away performances than just rolling over at Man City; we did OK at newcastle performance-wise so let's carry on
