    Lauren Bacall just died.

    I'm of an age when I can remember growing up watching all those black and white movies, when the actresses filled the screen, not just with their looks but their smouldering charisma.

    Just off the top of my head, here's a few;-

    Lauren Bacall
    Marilyn Munroe
    Rita Hayworth
    Katherine Hepburn
    Jane Russell
    Ingrid Bergman
    Ava Gardner
    Elizabeth Taylor
    Maureen O'Hara

    Nowadays, Hollywood churns out so many forgettable actresses. Are there any today who compare with the old diva's of yesteryear?

    That lot would only come 2nd to

    Jane Fonda.
    Sophie Loren
    Ursula Andress
    Raqhuel Welch and co

    But none top . Brigitte Bardot.


    As of todays, there's a few decent one's..always had a thing for Penelope Cruz.

    Why look to Hollywood when we have some of the most beautiful actresses are British.

    Julie Christie, Helen Mirren, Peggy Mount, Beryl reid

    Mate of mine is friends with Dianna Rigg (she's a neighbour of his in Kensington) and I met her once. Lovely lady. A 60's Diana rigg in a catsuit :)
