Frankie Knuckles, has sadly passed away aged 59. Thought to be due to complications of type 2 diabetes. The godfather of house, a real music pioneer. Personally and in partnership with others such as Jamie Principle, he developed and popularised a genre which entertained, moved and changed the lives of a generation. A sad loss. really was at the forefront of house music - I remember buying Chicago House 12s from Syds , in the beginning they had the 12s in the hip hop / rap section and i bought some in error and was hooked .
