For anyone interested in science I thought this conversation between two of the world’s most eminent living scientists (Lawrence Krauss and Richard Dawkins) was worth watching.
Krauss seems to make science easier to understand and his theory that total emptiness has both weight and instability that can in turn create particles is a revelation and possibly the missing link in the theory of the ‘Big Bang’.

The fact Johnny Ball wasn't involved in the conversation leads me to believe it's not worth listening to.

Where was the wheelchair bloke as well?

Dawkins, Hawkins, Hawking, all sounds like a conspiracy to confuse people.

Well it hasn't worked with me.

Johnny Ball is too busy selling boilers to worry about science these days. ****ing sell out.

And having watched Stargazing the last few nights, I have concluded that in relation to space, time etc, all you need to say is "I don't know, it's probably something to do with dark matter" and you'll be reet

    my knowledge of science;

    a) the blonde bird off the big bang theory is completely fit and has the best norks on telly

    b) one atom of oxygen, two atoms of hydrogen, what do you get? incredibly wet....h2o.....h2o!

She's got a banging body but there's something wrong with her face. Still would mind.

A lad at work goes on about this Dawkins fella all the time.

He's a right boring ****, his only redeeming feature is his beard, which is mightily impressive I must say.

I'm obviously talking about the bloke at work and not this Dawkins nerd.

Then again Dawkins might have a beard and be a boring **** as well.

See what I mean about trying to confuse people?

see for all the highbrow scientific debates about particle physics and the power of the atom, the best property of the atom is that you put a bunch of them together and end up with something as fine as that to admire.

god bless the big bang (irony intended)

For the record, I can confirm that Dawkins has no beard.

    Over and out.

I have never watched Big Bang Theory. I may have to remedy that...

I once saw a documentary and the scientist bloke on it reckoned the matter in the centre of a black hole is that dense a teaspoon of the stuff would weigh the same as planet Earth.

Although that is an extremely interesting factoid it's plausible that he just made it up.

How the frig would he know what the centre of a black hole was like eh?

Ever been in one has he?

    Has he ****ers like.

    Full of **** these scientists.

He's not a proper scientist then, neithers that Brian Cox (no beard) cant stand the ****.

All i can remember from Physics and Chemistry is spitting water at each other and setting fire to each others hair with the bunsen burners!!

Which is why scientists have beards, larking about on a Friday afternoon putting the equipment away, they'll do each others beards.

so true, my physics teacher Mr Poulson had a very tidy beard. he was a huge man and had the biggest hands I've ever seen on a human being.

our gangster friend is right though, being a 'scientist' does give someone the right to make up any old random nonsense and call it theory. science should deal in facts but they just invent an idea after 2yrs of research and £200k's worth of funding!

my science is if I can't see it or feel it then I don't believe it.....bubum!

I always had a dream to build an atomic bomb, but I could never find any Uranium or Plutonium in Hull

Richard Fortey is the man, never mind Dawkins and Krauss. They're both cool, but they know ****-all about Trilobites <ok>
