His return was 5 goals in 31 starts and 35 substitute appearances (including his 2 starts and 2 sub appearances in a loan at Bradford). Doesn't seem a particularly unfair dismissal to me. He's crap so they've run his contract down. The racism claim is a seperate thing, I can't see why if they were treating him differently and it was a way that affected his form they'd keep picking him as much as they were. To go to an extreme, if nobody would pass him the ball then the manager would know picking him was effectively playing with 10 men so he'd pick someone else.
Considering that half the Gillingham starting XI are black and their second top scorer is black, I think all he's likely to achieve is with this, proving that he's a ****e footballer.
