I think Hayden Panettiere (from Heroes) has one of the most hilarious tattoo fails I've heard of. She's got "Live without regrets" in Italian across her back, except it's spelt wrong.

I've got quite a lot and in my time have seen some absolutely shocking bits of ink, my personal favourites are when people have some really bad design situated in a stand out place, I remember having the inside of my arm by the pit tattoo'd this area is quite painful, whilst this was going on I had to put up with a couple picking a tattoo from a book (big no!) anyway the couple managed to annoy me, my tattooist and everyone else in the studio both were experts on ink, even though they didn't appear to have any the whole ordeal dragged on for an hour at least, in the end the woman picked some design which was like a Triangle my niece would of made a better job of and to make it even better she had it on the back and side of her neck! We chuckled in the cubicle as the front house manager gave the apprentice tattoist their first bit of ink to do!
