I see he's getting mentioned a bit about leaving Spuds today. Surely I cant be the only person who forgot he still existed?

How long a deal did he sign there - 12 years? He seems to have been there forever yet never played. He must still be young too.

He's 28, he signed a 6 year deal, which he's 4 1/2 years into and he's been on loan at Russian club FC Rostov this season.

Looks like he's off to QPR.

6 year deal?!?! **** me, I bet they regret that one. Im assuming that was just researched rather than off the top of your head so how many games has he played for them? Id be surprised if it's 50. What a ****e signing....

He has a grand total of 63 appearances for Spurs and 27 appearances for other clubs out on loan.

You're not the only person - I saw this headline this morning and thought "what the hell ever happened to him, I forgot he existed, what a waste. I want a bacon sandwich"

Read Martin Samuels article in yesterdays London Mail. Puts the who transfer system in its true light. The window needs closing for good. Crazy system brought in by fools.

By the way, the reason that the deadline is 11pm 23.00hrs is because Europe is an hour ahead of the UK. It is actually midnight on the 31st January.

Also, as long as certain parts of the transfer paperwork are faxed/lodged with the FA by 11pm then the rest can follow on afterwards.

He's similar to that lad who got released by Man City, wrong attitude for a pro footballer. I remember back in 2007ish he refused to play for the England u21's in a tournament as he was 'tired'. Very lucky that he is earning a fortune from the game still.

Harry Redknapp described it as being like gang warfare yesterday, with individual agents trying to scupper other deals so their own players get a better chance.

Or it's because that's when our FA decided we'd close our window, whilst other FAs have chosen various times for it.
