Come to think of it, I had a primary school teacher called Miss Robinson. Sporty type, not half bad looking. Far too young to have been his mother I should think. Maybe a sister. Anyway, the bottom line is, she stirred up some feelings in us developing young lads.
So, after all this so called **** that has been posted, the original point was that one of the shining lights the CTWD pressure group and "born and bred" Clitherosian, Mark GrEtton, will be gutted that so many Yorkshiremen will be proudly representing England on the upcoming tour.
So why pass comment then? I didn't realise people had to pass the OriginalLambrettaman test of worthiness before posting.
This is a forum, people post things and others comment on those things, my comment was that your post wasn't worth posting. That's forums for you, it's all about opinions.
I think its disgraceful to be honest. He should never play for England again. Thats it. Smacks of giving him a payday to me. It will disrupt the squad if he implodes again.
Maybe i didnt put it very well. I understand he has/had a mental illness. Same as Tresco did. Caused by the stress of playing cricket at the highest level. Best for him and us to move on.
That's the thing though it isn't same. Everyone is different. It's not like a physically illness where the treatments are the same for everyone.
I don't really follow cricket that big, but I always look out for Yorkshire's results & occasionally how England are doing, but it seems that everytime Yorkshire get good, the England team take them all off on their jollys & they then get relegated & are back to being ****. It would be like the England football team taking all the good English players during the football season & the teams having to cope with just kids in their team.
I have the feeling Chazz that this has been done for a purpose. They want him back in the fold, and sending him to his country of birth, eases him back into touring again.
No doubt about it. If this goes wrong, then they won't pick him for England, but if he comes through this, then they can consider him. Makes sense to me.
No doubt he's a really talented player but as with Gazza none of those managers gave a **** about him and just thought of him on the pitch. Things may have moved on in support of this but can you really see him lining up against the aussies again?
