    Good or bad?

It's happening here. Two different speakers playing different songs, one in front and one behind me.

Since maybe Wednesday last week the same 10 or so songs have been played on perpetual repeat. When the two speakers are going together, it's an incomprehensible festive sludge.

Starting to feel like Guantanamo Bay to be honest now, repetitive torture for information. It's nearly broken me to be honest.

Anyone else facing similar strain? There's actually a majority in here who seem to think it's good. I always knew I was different. It's remarkable the levels of contempt I can hold for others at times

    Kill me now.

    Merry Xmas, Party.

I sympathise completely. Driving all over the country with the radio playing permanent christmas songs on loop. As I go out of range I retune, only to hear the same ten bloody songs, usually on the same bloody order too! Bah humbug.
    Merry christmas you lot.

Whenever I am in shops at Christmas for more than a few minutes I am driven insane by the annoying Christmas songs. I have often wondered how bad it must be for the staff working there to have to endure it for days on end. Now I know. Sympathies!

I'd just like to point out that I don't work I'm retail.

I'd hate for people to think that of me.

No I don't think that! At all!! I was just using it as an example of where I've noted what it must be like to be forced to endure perpetually looping Christmas songs.

    I am retail.

No, I meant to put 'in', but iPhone autocorrect disagreed.

We have Capital FM at work and it hasn't been to bad.

But I'd rather listen to Christmas songs the utter ****e that gets played on there.

When I get fed up I make a excuse and go tidy the yard up.

Don't worry, in a few years you or your kids won't have to worry when you are celebrating Ramadan or Eid as things like songs and music will be banned.

It annoys me the way there's only about 10 on rotate - Mariah Carey, East 17, Wham, Band Aid, Chris Rea, Cliff and the like - and you rarely get the actual good ones such as Jona Lewie and The Waitresses.

No speakers up here Party, but I've got a YouTube Christmas playlist running, through headphones of course.

Put your copy of the Daily Mail down and remind yourself that no such thing has ever been banned.

For the headline "England football shirts are banned for the world cup by pubs scared of upsetting immigrants"
    read
"erm, no we're a pub who have always banned any football shirts at all times of year".

I am on about the future when we have been out red by the Muslims and celebrations of anything but ones approved by them will be banned under Sharia Law.

As for your pubs thing, a police Inspector came in my local and told the landlord to take down England flags. He replied he would when the Italian and Greek takeaways nearby took down their flags. He was told the pub would be watched, and I am not kidding, any singing and he would construe it as a performance as more than one would be singing and others listening and have him done as he didn't have an appropriate music licence. Inspector was distinctly amused when an old bloke at the bar said that seeing as it appeared he had nothing important to do could he up date him how enquiries into his burglary we're going. Or sod off and stop spoiling his pint. Glad to say landlord put up even more England flags and then had Union Jacks painted on various parts of the pub, like the metal covers where they deliver beer barrels, in time for the Olympics, which are still thete, in addition to all the other red white and blue stuff he put up.

Wouldn't be so bad if they put the Phil Soector Christmas Album on.

Oh dear, Castro's having a meltdown.

I don't think I'm above retail. Done it before, moved on.

I don't think the Muslims will take over either.

    Maybe time for a nap?

What has all that got to do with Islam? Or was the inspector muslim and declaring Sharia Law in the process?

I just re-read it and the details of the Islamic influence in the inspectors motives are sketchy. Have you got any more info on his anti Christian pro Islam campaign in asking the landlord to remove some flags?
