These are really weird foreign owners. I heard on the radio this morning that they had flown in from India for the Wigan match, and then left at half time!!
..just read they've awarded Kean a contract extension for his fine start to the season too.. looks like Blackburn will be enjoying the delights of The Championship in the near future
Yeh, that's it, just heard that the half time escape was to avoid Rovers fans at the end of the game.
Kean has to be the worst PL Manager at the moment. His comments after each game are proof of dillusion.
Sorry but that's bollocks. He's one of the few PL maangers who actually talks sense in his interviews. Most of them talk absolute crap and speak with complete bias about anything contentious (McCarthy, Pulis, Dalglish, Redknapp and Allardyce even if he isn't in the PL at the moment) Kean seems to see everything right to me and he always admits when he or his team were wrong which is something that can't be said about most PL managers and certainly not the ones I've mentioned above. He's got a ****e Blackburn squad and they're near the bottom of the league, is that really such a failure? Nobody says Martinez is a **** manager just cos Wigan are near the bottom, and rightly so because he's another one who has nothing to work with. Kean tries to play the game the right way with a bunch of hoofball Allardyce players who just want to knock everyone out. Blackburn have had some hard fixtures and some awful luck this season too and it can't help the players that the fans just boo all game because they lust for a win-at-all-costs, hoofball manager, there's many more pressing factors as to why they're near the bottom than the manager. The owners are still mad though.
I know you're a fan, but Kean made a complete **** of himself in his pre-match interview on Saturday, the stuff he said made me cringe. He's in enough trouble with the Blackburn fans, without slagging them off on the radio while they're driving to the game, he's on borrowed time.
I haven't heard about this, what did he say? He's been very diplomatic about the fans until now, so this surprises me. I reckon he's probably got a point if he moaned about the moaning fans, but obviously it's not advisable as a football manager
I do find it nauseating his interviews and how he sucks up to the owners, I feel he is a real yes man, just to try and keep his job.
He basically said that there wasn't a problem with the fans, other than the fact that some of them were ****ers and the ones that came to games and weren't ****ers were getting pissed off with the ones who were. It was seriously ill advised, straight after the interview they cut back to the studio and there was a deathly silence. Then one of the reporters said 'I'm not sure that trying to set one set of fans against the other is a particularly good idea, I think maybe Steve should get his head down and just concentrate on getting a result or two'.
Then he's failing in his job. His job is to get the best results he can with the resources available to him. Until he has players capable of playing the way he wants to play he should have them playing a style that suits their lack of ability so that they can have a serious go at avoiding relegation.
I don't think anyone in football should ever be criticised for playing the game fairly and without cheating. Any footballer should be capable of playing proper football, it's just **** managers that force it into teams and it takes a while to get rid of.
Sorry mate but Kean is just plain ****. A grovelling, clueless clown of a manager. He talks utter drivel as well, it was only a few games back he was still going on about Europe. Lives in cloud cuckoo land. Anyone know what happened with his drink driving charge ?
Must have been well over the limit for that then. Usually 12 months and about a grand. Mind you he did contest it at court so that may explain the severity of the punishment.
He was twice the limit, but I think the main reason he got a big penalty, was the fact that court didn't believe a word of his cock and bull story about having his drink spiked.
Sorry, I might have misunderstood. I thought when you said "right way" you were saying he was trying to play a passing game with them? I'm not advocating cheating, but if I've got a bunch of **** players like he has I'm not going to try being a pretty side like Arsenal when they're more suited to being like Stoke. I'm going to play like Stoke to get results until I can get in some players that have the ability to play pretty football, or until I can coach the ability into the players in training and start introducing it in games.
