Favourite combos? I'm partial to the classic Red Leicester and Worcester sauce, sometimes a bit of chopped up pepperoni/salami if I need something before I go out on the piss. Any of you lot got some good ones you can recommend?
I like to slice cherry tomatoes into two and lay them flat on top and roast them in the grill... Lovely.
Slightly O/T but Steven Gerrard was once asked what his favourite cheese was. He replied "errrrmmmmm...melted". Even more O/T, but this evening I shall be making a tartiflette using Raclette
Mature cheddar with a sprinkling of blue cheese on top, covered in ****loads of black pepper and a bit of HP sauce
It's amazing without it, but the HP just gives it that extra dimension* *Please don't use my use of the word as an excuse to start rambling about String Theory, Physics-boy
But...the quarks....the muons! They need to be discussed! One of my mates is obsessed with cheese sandwiches cooked in the microwave. It turns the bread floppy yet tough and makes the crusts inedible. Idiot or snack pioneer. I vote for the former.
Spread tomoato puree on the toast then it's like a mini-pizza (even better if done on pitta bread). Any meat (ham, chorizo, salami), dried oregano and Worcester sauce are all great additions. Not too fussy over the cheese, red leicester and cheddar are good but then it's also good to have something a bit more stringly (like mozzerella or emmenthal) in there.
I feel quite impressed with myself for having actually heard of quarks and muons What's your favourite flavour of quark? I like 'charm' Utter plank That's not cheese on toast, it's ****ing council house pizza
Red Leicester is **** on toast, it doesn't taste of anything, it's a puffs cheese. Mature cheddar, with some chopper onion, on crusty bread with a bit of HP sauce to dip it in.
Spot on OLM it is such a puff's cheese. My girlfriend loves it and doesn't like mature cheddar, yet she can't understand why I always fall out with her over it.
Mature cheddar and marmite. Oh and the breads gotta be lightly toasted first, then buttered before applying the marmite and finally the cheese.
mature cheddar all the way. red leicester is cheese for people who don't like cheese! i like my cheese on toast with the cheese grated NEVER sliced. usually plain but if I am making a cheeky addition then a few slices of pickled beetroot adorning the top adds a certain zing and the cold fresh beetroot compliments the hot creaminess of the cheese. right lads back in 5......I'm off to buckle the bathroom radiator
