I am about to choose my next car for company use and have whittled it down to and Audi A5 Sportback or the Mercedes C Class.

I have never had an Audi before and was wondering what peoples experiences are if anyone here has owned one? I thought about getting the s-line, 177bhp, diesel. But people have told me the suspension is really hard on the s-line.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

Can't talk about the Audi but drive a c-class coupé and it drives very nicely and that's a 7 year old car. Never had an issue with reliability. Would recommend getting a test drive of both see which you like.

None of them. Go for a BMW 5 or 6 series, but not the basic model though.

I have a choice and mrs kempy has a titanium x mondeo so fancy something a bit different.

I did test drive a bmw 535d and found the interior a bit cramped and I prefer hatchbacks. I tried the evoque and it was rubbish, expensive and had poor standard kit.

On Sunday I am test driving the A5 sportback SE Technik 177bhp diesel. But they do not have a s-line to test drive and they look really nice.

You can take the boy out of Essex...............

You go careful kempy, you shouldn't drive within 24 hours of taking sleeping tablets or a norwich home game with whotun in charge.

    Excellent choice! <ok>

I'd go for the ST200, 2.5Ltr, V6, I've driven both the manual and automatic models and they are both seriously fast cars, fantastic acceleration throughout the range, they just keep on accelerating!

And they look good too, understated...a bit more bodykit than your usual Mondeo, the wheels a bit bigger, nothing you would obviously notice, not too much unlike your usual Mondeo, but **** off a shovel fast, a real driver's car!

    <ok>

    What a choice!

I had to settle for a Vauxhall Zafira (which was nice) for the first three years and after that they downgraded what the choice was - ended up with a Vauxhall Meriva (that was considerably smaller in every respect) - tight gits <wah>

I'm going today and then to see the Villa game - I've sold my ticket for the 2 other home games!!!!

I have a Skoda 2L TDI. If you go for the 'VRS', you get a VERY hot hatch, but with lots of space and a MASSIVE boot - bigger than the Mondeo!! Not sure when it will be available in the new version though.

    Failing that, get the Audi!!!!

What the hell, I'm not mentioning our Hyundai I10 then. Great car. Built in incontinence pants, front and rear cholostemy bags, built in Michael Buble CD player. And room for your tablet(s)

Have you even looked at the modern Volvos?

The new V40 is awesome and the diesel even manages best part of 80mpg too. I know the old man image but that really is the past they even do some hot hatch models
