Keeping it in the family. David Beckhamâs eldest son Brooklyn has completed a trial with Stamford Bridge side Chelsea, according to Sky Sports. The 13-year-old reportedly took part in an under-14s match at the European championsâ training ground in Surrey, south-east England on Tuesday. Former England captain Beckham, who has been without a club since leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of last year, was pictured at Chelseaâs training base in a photograph that emerged on Twitter. Beckham, 37, has previously played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, the LA Galaxy and AC Milan, and won 115 caps for England, which is a national record for an outfield player. He is yet to make an announcement about the next destination in his footballing career. Brooklyn is one of four children that Beckham has had with his wife Victoria, the pop star turned fashion designer, along with Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
Even if he's ****e the name alone will always command attention, on a hiding to nothing! We would always do the same as parents if we could! Posh wanted to sign him up for channel most likely and david said Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo I'm not having my boy flaunted about like some little ***got, it dont matter that he cant play football and likes to smell like a tart! Football he will play victoria!

Another kid like the upper classes who live life using their parents name/"status"/PR abilitiy - PR is a wonderfull thing for some
Not prejudice then. The kid is 14 years old, he's obviously going to try and play football since it's every kids dream... or is he not allowed a dream cos his parents are celebrities?
That was my thought to be honest, and the chances are with his genes he will have a higher chance of 'being good enough' to make it as a professional footballer. If he is even half as good as his old man, then he will make it and England will have another cracking footballer on their hands.
So if I turn up at Chelsea's training ground with little Jonny Fartpants (aged 13 3/4) from up the road who also wants to be a footballer he will get a game then?
Good luck to the lad.... Jus remember ya dad went from hate figure to legend in the fickle world of footy.
Probably not, to be fair it won't matter about the kid's ability with a name like that he's destined for failure. Maybe Beckham was BEGGED by Chelsea to bring Brooklyn along for a trial. Do you have any idea how much a Beckham is worth to a club's turnover figures? The way I see it, no matter who your old man is, you're only gonna make it in this industry if you're good enough and if you're not then somewhere along the line you'll fall by the wayside.
Good luck to the lad if he's got the talent... and if he hasn't, well there's no room for sentiment in football!!
But you're happy to moan about him being handed an opportunity because he was born with a silver spoon, I can only assume you've watched him play then.
if any of you got the right opportunities in life (+ right mix of hard work, luck and natural ability), wouldn't you want your kids to benefit? Never understood people who are bitter about things like this. If people didnt give their kids the best start in life they could, no one would ever get anywhere. Of course Brooklyn might be a spoilt little ****, but just because he has got a bloody big head start in life doesnt automatically mean he is one. lets not judge a 14 year old we dont even know.
