Who here has one? They're bloody awful. The internet browser function is shoddily put together and nightmarish to use, and that's only a minor issue compared to some of the problems.

Should I replace mine with an iPhone? I've never had a problem with those when I've used them...

Get an iPhone, so much better. I know someone who in 2012, has had their Blackberry repaired four times and then had to get a new one. And also, if you don't get a contract, get a giffgaff sim for it, great cheap deals.

    Jesus! <laugh>

The screen is incredibly fragile. I've got two massive cracks in it, and I have no idea how they got there. I use the internet a lot on mine, especially when I'm at work but not busy, but there have been times where I've simply been unable to get on the web for up to four days.

Depends on your budget. I can't be doing with £35+ a month for an iPhone.

HTC's are brilliant. I've had the Desire for 2 years @ £18.50 per month (no handset fee) with unlimited texts, 500mb internet and 300 mins.

I'm upgrading to the HTC One S in October, happy days.

Unfortunately they're SIM only deals which means you have to pay out £300+ to get yourself a new phone (if necessary) I was thinking about switching but I see a new shiny phone and can't help it for £5.50 more per month.

Think I'll try that. Cheers <ok>

That's a good deal, and ****ing brilliant compared to the one I'm on. I'm paying just under £35-a-month for my ****ty BlackBerry.

Remember the value of your handset after your contract has a huge influence.

I had an iphone 3GS for 24 months at £30 a month (500 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited data), that cost me £720 over two years.

I then sold the phone at the end of my contract for £200 on ebay, so effectively I only spent £520 the equivalent of £21.66 a month.

You don't get that sort of re-sale with android phones as their less sort after and common as muck!

Surely you must have had to pay a fee for the handset too though? That seems ridiculously cheap, at least by iPhone standards. Whenever I looked a couple of years ago it was always £35 a month with an extra £100+ for the handset.

For £35 a month you can get a Samsung Galaxy S3 (you can get it a lot cheaper to be fair) which is about as good as the soon to be released iPhone5 from leaked iPhone5 info. iPhone4 is old tech at this point and totally overpriced. I had a Desire for two years prior to changing to Samsung and it's phenomenal.

No the handset was free, the deals do vary depending on demand/stock/new releases...etc, I must have just got it at the right time, to be fair I think the iphone 4 was just about to come out.

The only downside was that it was on three who have awful customer service and terrible signal, I left three to take out my new contract and they still hassle me trying to get me to come back, I'd stay well clear of them!

Three have always been ridiculously poor. I'd sooner kill my mother and eat her liver than use them.

I'm with you on that one, I got suckered into the cheap deal and regretted it ever since, thankfully I'm not with them now.

I still get call's from third parties that three quite clearly sold my details to.

I'm due an upgrade from my Blackberry in a couple of months... can't wait. There are good things about them, but the only truely great thing about them is the physical qwerty keyboard.... Not sure why a company haven't made a cross between the iPhone and a Blackberry. Basically an iPhone with a slide out qwerty keyboard. Blackberry tried it with the Torch, but the problem was, it was a Blackberry, so defeated the object of having an iPhone-like phone, as you can't do anything on them.

£20 a month 2000 (yes thousand) minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited Internet on Vodafone. Started with a free 3GS, halfway through the contract I paid £50 to upgrade to iPhone 4, which was lucky as I managed to break the LCD display on the 3GS right at upgrade time and couldn't be arsed to spend £60 on a new screen and £5 / £10 on a new glass.
