NCFC is driving me to drink But I just chanced upon this, which looks dead interesting - if you partake of the amber nectar http://www.insidebeer.com/?message=You have now subscribed to our newsletter. Thank you. Also, after a gap of 45 years, Lacons Brewery in Yarmouth starts production again. I tried a pint of a 4.4% golden ale of theirs last week and it was magnificent. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/lacons_...return_of_lacons_brewery_next_month_1_2016050
It was given a false name (Fingerprint) for a trial in the Erpingham Arms, between Cromer and Aylsham. They wanted to see how it went down before unveiling it commercially. It will be 'Legacy' once launched. I think they'll get loads of free-trade business because a) it's a superb product, and b) many people (just about) remember the Lacons name - before Whitbread's cruel and short lived intervention Here's to the phoenix rising from the ashes
Being of a cetain age I certainly remember Lacons. I also know the Erpingham arms although no where near me, but will give it a go next time I'm that way. Cheers.
