Whoopy-doo, I thought upon reading this mindblowing fact. Hurrah that my £145.50 licence fee <grr> is being put to good use, I thought.

Did I bollocks! A meaningless end-of-season 'party' showcasing the already well established talents - and bank balances, of the top eight male tennis players in the world.

But, Wimbledon apart, where are the B B bloody C for all the other Grand Slam and ranking tour events which help propel these people into the top eight? No where to be seen, that's where. If I get to watch any of the Aus, French or USA opens, it's on Eurosport or via a live stream on my p.c.

What I resent is being criminalised if I refuse or forget to buy this (extortionately priced) licence, and yet some of the regurgitated tosh the BBC screen nowadays is equally criminal. But of course, they justify it and get away with it.

Time to scrap the licence fee and make BBC channels pay per view or subscription like Sky, ESPN etc. Final Score on a Saturday is the only thing I watch on the beeb - and even then I have to have the mute button on if Garth ****ing Crooks is on!! ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!

Deep breath, cup of rosy lee and check my blood pressure, I think <laugh>
Roll on some proper football next weekend <ok>

Can't say I agree with this. Have you seen TV in other countries? BBC is miles better! If only paid £145 for Sky per year you would be delighted. Just depends what you want to watch really, true it doesn't have loads of sport but the coverage (other than football) is pretty good when they do.
