can anyone ever buy a copy of a newscorp paper again, or indeed support the Murdoch League? Not only has newscorp allegedly ****ed the 72 league clubs, he has also ruined the national team, screwed the top division of english football and removed any intergrity english football used to have in world football circles. has english football sold its soul to the devil
he allegedly conspired to 'hack' ondigital out of business by distributing fake viewing cards. i must admit, at one point you could buy em anywhere?
The Football League ****ed the Football League clubs, ably assists by OnDigital, who didn't have a ****ing clue what they were doing. The deal the Football League did was for way too much money, when this was realised they refused to accept a 40% reduction in the amount paid for the rights and ended up losing pretty much all of it instead. OnDigital used a failed system that was easily hacked, it was very simple for people to not pay them, I'm sure Sky helped circulate this information, if I was there main competitor, so would I. It's easy to blame Murdoch, but the reality is the OnDigital business model was a shocker, they overpaid for everything, their systems were our of date before they'd even launched them and they didn't even work in about a quarter of the UK due to piss poor signal strength. The BBC were the main organisation to benefit from the failure of OnDigital, as it led to them acquiring the rights in partnership with BSkyB to launch Freeview on the cheap, I wonder if that was mentioned on Panorama?
Did you even watch the program? OnDigital used the same viewing cards as Canal+, Canal+ said their cards were unhackable, NDS (Sky funded company) employed the best hacker in the world and asked him the hack the Canal+ card, he eventually did it, NDS then gave a hacking forum the codes and the damage was all done. Without the hack theres a good chance that OnDigital/ITVDigital would be around today, Canal+ even took NDS to court but Murdoch settled out of court.
No I didn't watch the programme, I'm in Hong Kong. Canal+ dropped the case against NDS, as they wanted to flog Murdoch their loss making Italian network.
I don't really care about Murdoch either way, I was just pointing out that OnDigital was a complete farce.
