I have no moral qualms about eating horse but if I pay good money for a fillet stake I don't expect a filley steak. FSA report part one out and Tesco/Aldi and Findus all struggling with Spag Bol/Lasagne and Value burgers.

Got to be honest and say that I am surprised there is meat of any kind in value spag bol and lasagne and if people knew which parts of the cow the beef in them came from they may take a cut of prime horse in preference.

The silver lining to this scandal is that it could be good news for local farmers if people start being interested in provenance. I have a brilliant farm shop near me and a lot of the time the fruit and veg are cheaper than the supermarkets and you can't beat locally produced good for quality. cheaper cuts are lke mince are often cheaper in a butchers and you can control portion size unlike pre-packed stuff from the supermarkets.
