    i met john peel at malcoms club around 1972,
    me and my mates off ope stated the chant
    "john peels a ****" at reading festival which went on for some years.
    he was a smashing bloke god bless him.
    he played pink floyds the nile song for me on me 19th birthday!!!!!!

    Thanks Unabomber, really enjoyed it, and brought back many good memories. Worked in the fish dock for most of my early working life, and to see the decay is really depressing. However John Peel was a top bloke, and have fond memories of listening to his shows.
