Clough number 1, best manager moment ever when he smacked that fan on the pitch

Ron Atkinson - always had black players in his team, yet branded a racist for some flippant comment and kicked out of the game forever!!

Sorry, stupid comment last night, for some reason mixing up owners with managers.

Clough's a given, perhaps for his team talk at L**ds "You can chuck those winners medals in the bin, you only won by cheating"

Don Revie for quitting England to coach the UAE

Then there's a list of Chairmen who thought they could manage. None better than Terry Smith, the American at Chester who came up with the 'Captain for defence', 'captain for midfield' and 'captain for attack (no doubt offense). Honourable mentions here to Michael Knighton at Carlisle and Ron Noades at Brentford

And to get an ex-Tiger link in, go with Terry Neill who left his managers job at Tottenham to take over at Arsenal

erm no - because he said this thinking he was OFF air - this cannot be classed as a flippant comment , but one he is totally comfortable saying to whoever was sat with him .
one of the most ridiculous statements of the 80s was "im not a racist , ive got black friends but ....... "
