Na not at all, no bids made by anyone, contract up in the summer.

Will definitely get rejected though. At least we have registered interest though

TBH, I don't think he's worth much more than that.

How is Downing worth 20 million? N'Zogbia is much better.

Simple business this we go in with a really small offer, they come back with a way over hyped value say £20m then we agree somewhere in the middle.

in the unlikely event that you's agree a fee with wigan(would have to be considerably more than 4m), does anyone think ashley would sanction his reported 60k per week salary?

Downing is a good player, no more and not going to get any better. Worth about £10m I'd say. N'Zogbia is probably worth the same, better player, quicker, eye for goal - if his contract wasn't up next year he'd easily be £12-14m. If Liverpool want to overpay for players then happy days. I'd rather have Cabaye for £4.5m than Henderson for £20m <cheers>

I reckon he would, the wage cap was set two seasons ago at 50k but we're in a better position now so Ashley is reportedly willing to go up to 60-65k providing the transfer fee isn't too high. Zogs would be worth the wages too imo, we all know what he can do and i honestly and unbiasedly think he's a better player than Downing.

If this is true, then I wonder how serious was the bid made for him at the end of the January transfer window
