How long befoe we give Nunez a new longer term contract based on the potential he appears to have. If we dont we will end up in january with a player who concievably been key to our season with 6 month on his contract and we will be in the johnson, kilkenny, beckford all over again. Who is in charge of contracts at e.r. cos they havent been doing a great job so far.

He played well when he came on today and his goal was first class. I agree though, hold on, he's not the finished article by any means.

Aye, after 2 friendlies against a 1st Division Scottish side and a mid table SPL team. Sorry, but as someone else stated, until he's shown he's got what it takes regularly in the Championship, he should remain as he is. The goal he scored yesterday was first class, but was achieved in a friendly, where not many defenders were sliding in and allowed for more time on the ball, this will not be the same once the league starts.
its not that he looks like a gem, i said so myself when we first got him that i thought grayson should give him more game time but QSS you annoy me because you state things as though they are facts and your opinion should be considered as fact when really you need to realise that not everyone thinks so
There will be a clause in his contract, that provides an extension if the club wants to. It's the same as what Somma had - a one year extension on his short term contract.
I thought that this was the extension therefore there is not another clause in the contract he is currently on is there??
Yeah there was an extension in his old contract, but they might have put one in this to make sure we have first option on resigning him.
He's already shown he can cut it in the championship last season when he was on loan at Scunny,against much better opposition than Falkirk & Motherwell. That was the whole point of loaning him out,& he proved he's got what it takes.
Or plenty of time for other clubs to assess him while he puts himself in the shop window & runs down his contract. This needs sorting now or we'll lose him for nothing come next June.

Really, well there you go. I'm sorry if you feel that, still doesn't change my opinion that your opinion of Nunez is bollox and that only through time will we see if this guy has anything like the ability to play in the Championship, that you are convinced he has.
