Having missed the first half, I've only just seen the Dembele's sending off and I am annoyed at how we got down to 10 men. Nunez is a blatent CHEAT - If UEFA had any balls he should get a long ban to stop such antics, but they probably won't. If Wisla Krakow has any sense, they'll not field him at Craven Cottage for the return match. I suspect the Referee did not see the whole incident. After all, he let Chavez get away with so much before the bad tackle on AJ at the end. OK, we should have done better tonight. It's still 4 points from 3 games and we have to play Odense and Wisla Krakow, so it's all in our own hands.
Total cheat and a disgrace. I look forward to seeing him on the return leg. The sending off changed the game but I wouldn't be too proud if I were a Krakov supporter. As you say let's hope Uefa are sensible. They should reverse that red card and give it to Nunez.
Disgusting ! Nunez should get at least 1 game ban for simulation (3 to be fair). Dembele did nothing - yellow at worst Chavez earned a second yellow, twice before he actually got it I usually support referees, but tonight - no
The best response from Fulham would be to humiliate Wisla by beating them 5 or 6 nil in the home game. The best response from UEFA if they really believe in their Fair-play policy, would be to ban Nunez for three games and reverse Dembele's red to a yellow. Lets hope we get the result, because tonight again we lacked creativity and passion. And I think tonights Ref was the one who refereed the France v Ireland play-off with the Henry handball.
Super B.M. I'm a Stoke fan who caught the first half of your game before going to tonights game.. If that Polish guy doesn't get punished by UEFA I feel it's time to give up on ref's ... a terrible decision and this is ironic.. Before kickoff in tonights game at Stoke, this guy on the tanoy was preaching to the fans about "Fair play in football"?? Respect for the other team etc etc! At the very worst, Dembele's was a yellow card and Jerome only got sent off because he didn't like the original decision.. not sure but, I think it was two yellow cards. Must admit it's also the first time I've ever seen a player try and take a linesmans head off with his boot!
I think this is what happens when you pull in refs from small leagues - like Sweden - to oversee European contests. I can't see a Premiership, Bundesliga or Serie A ref falling for that trick. As for Nuenez, I'm sure other refs were watching that game and, thus, he'll never get the benefit of the doubt again when it comes to decisions. Dembele was still stupid for reacting that way.
With the amount of games being played and the 6 officials per game, the standard of officials are going to vary. Players will continue to cheat to gain an advantage. But with their Fair-play policy UEFA must show that if players do deceive the Ref, they will take the appropriate action after the event, and not stick their head in the sand.
All I will say is that we are a friendly bunch down at Craven Cottage, but sorry this guy will get some well earned abuse from the home faithful on his return, I'm sure of it!!!
