Joe Anyinsah signed! Where did that one come from? I think this is a good signing....could be goodbye to Kuffour though. Joe Anyinsah is a (very) local lad; went to primary school just up the road. Fast winger/striker. And we still might sign another CB !!!!!
kuffour has turned down yeovil and said if he moves it will be to london. another good signing. think kuffour would be good to stay. he will score a good amount in this league.
Kuffour, Lines and Sawyer all need to go. They'll be too expensive to keep on board and they weren't that good last season... Excited about our squad, though and even looking forward to the friendlies. Let's hope the lads gel, get off to a flyer, the fans return in drovesand we have a season to remember for all the right reasons. Up The Gas!!
This has been the madest close season I`ve ever known All we need now is a different board of directors and we`ll be a completely new club.
Charlton fan here. When Anyinsah played for us last season he was our best forward, possibly even our best player. Of course, he didn't play very often because he suffered one injury after another. In fact Carlisle only released him to us on a free because of his history as Mr Glass. I would have loved him to stay on a pay-for-play arrangement because he is easily Championship quality when fit. Worth a punt for you guys, though. If he plays he will wreak havoc with Div 2 defences. Nice lad, and I wish him and the Gas every success.
I know it's early days but having watched tonight's friendly we could manage without Lines, Sawyer and Kuffour. Reggie Lambe and Cian Hughton both looked good.
We could do with having a player who's ' waaay to good for you lot'. Mind you...they said that about Dominic Blizzard!! Don't forget we're building to blitzkrieg L2, storm through L1 (passing City on the down escalator) and establish in the Championship!
If we can build momentum in this league, then we stand chance of getting out of the next league the following season - so it makes sense to have a few players who can already play at a higher level. Crawley are still about 3/1 to win this league - we're only 11/1 in some places. I think the odds on us will shorten quite quickly once the season starts.
