Jermaine Beckford last night had his best game for us and looked very sharp. Had the chance in the first half gone in where he where Danns chipped it to him and he brought it down on his thigh and volleyed it just over, had that gone in it would of been goal of the season. He then forced a good save from the keeper. Then there was that shot what hit the bar, great technique and i couldnt believe it didnt go in. Their keeper was beaten all ends up.

Then the goal, I was one of his biggest critics for him being lazy and not bothered. He chased down the defender which he wouldnt of done a few months back, then chased the keeper down and didnt **** himself like Gallagher would have. He got his luck with the bounce and then it was a great finish, a lot harder then he made it look. It was from a very tight angle and he calmly just put it in. I think Nigel will be using that goal to show him how valuable work rate is. Past few games he looked very sharp and the goals have started to come. The fans have started to take to him now. I never doubted his ability to score just his attitude and work rate which alot of credit has to go to Nigel aswell Beckford has changed and become a team player while he is still a goalscorer.

Then David Nugent scored his 10th goal of the season last night and bearing in mind he has missed a month of the season that is a very good goal return. Only Rickie Lambert, Ross McCormack and Darius Henderson have scored more goals then Nugent. He has been quality for us and now him and Beckford are starting to link up together and when they click they will be some partnership

I hate to see Leicester do well but I do like to see Beckford do well for a number of reasons. Good to see him start putting in good performances for you guys, when he is on form he will be possibly the best striker in the league

Agree wholeheartedly (regarding Beckford) - also nice to see Nugent notching - had my doubts about him as an out-and-out goalscorer but the partnership with Beckford is really starting to take off. Whilst we really could have done with beating 'Boro I'm optimistic that with the acquisitions we made in the transfer window we will be creating lots more chances for forwards who are now putting them away .. that could mean edging into the play-offs, which would be great considering the topsy turvy season we have had so far..

We know we are solid at the back and now we are starting to create chances and Beckford and Nugent will take them

We are much better in the middle too - Wellens has found his form and both Delfuonso and Drinkwater looks class.
