£4m according to this site. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/david-nugent-boro-4m-offer-9823094 Great player for us, but not the man to take us to the next level. Would happily accept £4m
Nuge and Konch were walking the line even when Pearson was here, so the best thing to do is move them on, especially if they can demand a transfer fee. 2 professional players who will still do a job in the Championship. Certainly a cheaper option for Mboro than Rhodes.
£4m is a very good price. Shame to see him go but it's best for all parties. A four of Vardy, Okazaki, Ulloa and Kramaric is good enough for us.
Daft money for a player with no Premier League experience. They turned down £12m from us last summer, we should have gone to £13m, he'd still have been better value than Hernandez at £10m.
4million?????? I'll fly over to England and drive him up there myself for that price. Don't get me wrong , I love Nuge, but 4 million????????? At his age?
A very good pro & has been fantastic for us without a doubt. We are a team that really needs to aim high in the transfer market so, as hard as this sounds, we don´t need to hang onto players like Konch & nuge. We need to sign above ave prem players to replace those that are very good champ´ship players. Within reason the sky should be the limit on who we try & get in to build us into a team that is good enough for europe, which is what our owner want imo. We are a team is full of above ave prem players imo, so replace those that ain´t & Bobs your uncle & Fanny´s your aunt.
Different figure being banded about. Saw the Leeds manager saying that his chairman had stumped up £3m to get Wood (not the £2.5m that had been quoted elsewhere). A lot of the money these days is in add ons, so both figure may be correct at some point in time. Nuge has still got to agree of course. Surprised Ipswich aint going after him as he seems to score every time we play them.
Nugent has been a great player for us but like we thought and feared he has proven that he is a very good championship striker nothing more
Could be us trying to offload in order to justify a return for Charlie Austin, not that we need him. Nugent would be a great squad player for any of the bottom 10 PL clubs, but he's a good professional who I'd see wanting to play regular football, we shouldn't stand in his way if he wants it. He's been a great servant to the club (isn't he our top goalscorer for about 20 years or something?) and would have to take as a second team any that signed him. Personally I could still see him forcing his way into Ranieri's plans, as he's proven us all wrong season after season.
Depends on what he wants at his age, regular games or a squad player?.Has been a great servant for this club.
It's on the official site now... http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/david-nugent-departs-leicester-to-join-middlesbrough-2619078.aspx
Alot of great memories from Nugent's 4 years here. Sad to see him go but the time was right and the offer was something we simply couldnt refuse 59 goals in 4 years is great going for someone who isnt deemed as prolific
