    They have just tweeted the following...

    Interesting news re: #NUFC player - on the website in the morning.

    I wonder what that is about. Has Jose signed a new contract? I hope so!

    Hope it's Barton's contract <fingerscrossedsmiley>

    Dont think it will be a transfer in as they wouldnt be nufc players yet or a transfer out as that wouldnt be very interesting.

    Well I think it is to do with a contract extension! NUFCfans are normally very reliable so there must be something happening. We'll have to wait till the morning though!

    To keep insiders happy. They must have a lot of contacts, so if they reveal things before they get officially announced then it might not go down well. Also for the suspense!

    Joey extending his contract would be considered a big story, certainly by the fans
    but also Pardew judging by his recent interviews.
    Could this because the usual club Friday briefing is being upstaged by some other
    distraction though?
