    It's a done deal!

Could you imagine the reaction of championship fans up and down the country, Villa fans in meltdown! "I'm Telling!!! You're trying to buy the league" Blah blah blah

The guy just wants money and his agent will link him to anyone and everyone if it helps get a knee jerk reaction from a stupid football club owner.

I do think that if there were any kind of truth in this and we pulled this off, it would be a similar achievement to winning a cup. Biggest transfer coup in milleniums!

But he can spray a ball 1 in 10 times accurately! This is slightly better than JC!

Shelvey technically is class, thatgame against West Ham is up there as one of the best individual performances of the season (along with Wijni against Norwich).

The problem with shelvey is mentality and consistantancy, if he can regularly perform like he did against West Ham, he would be in the england squad, I do think we as a club need to do more because the talent is definatley there.

    He ****e!

Too slow, can't tackle, can't header, doesn't score goals.

    He can pass that's it

    .
He can .header and he does make the occassional tacke. but yeah he would be in the team to pass, Kinda like what Beckham was in the man u squad for.

If we want two midfielders of the same ilk then yeah carry on with colback/Hayden/tiote who will all be defensive and do the same jobs. all of them three can tackle, passing, shooting, Heading is none of their strong points. None of them are particularly fast either. Shelvey can shoot and he can pass which is a different dimension to our other options, therefore for me he should start more games, instil some confidence in the lad and we will reap the rewards
