Waghorn has arrived at the KC with a point to prove and should be fit enough to start - âHe was in on Tuesday and trained again today. Heâs settled in well and he's in the shake-up for Saturdayâs game.â The door is not closed on Jay Simpson - âHeâs got the opportunity to go and play some games at Millwall and rediscover his form. Thatâs the top and bottom of it. He needs to go out and get some games under his belt.â Confirmed that City did indeed fail in a bid to sign Habib Beye from Villa, also said on other transfers - âWe were fairly close to bringing in some other players but unfortunately it didnât happen. Weâll do business if we can but if we canât, itâs a case of moving on and waiting for the next opportunity. Weâll see what happens."
Bit of a straight bat as usual. If Simmo needs to go out and get games under his belt, why cant he do that here?
Personally I would prefer one of our players to try and re-discover his form with someone else, and then come back to us when he has rather than him trying to find form whilst on the pitch for us. That said, I do hope that he does re-discover his form as I think he could be a good striker for us.
if simpson 'rediscovers' his form with millwall, he's gone. sorry Mr Pearson I am a supporter of yours but you are no diplomat
Because we don't have time to waste on an under performing striker! We have Fryatt, Waggy and McLean, all far better then him
And if he does, we are sure to put a high enough price tag on his head. We wanted 600k for him now, we will want more if he does well for them!
I suspect that may be right, but with NP saying the door isn't closed you never know... Mind you, NP is no diplomat
what do you want him to say? we never bothered trying to get any other players along? what sort of diplomat were you expecting? peter mandelson?
It's the same for Simpson and us as it is for Waghorn and Leicester, both out of favour, both need games to prove themselves.. if we can bid for Waghorn then we'll try and fund it with some cash from selling Simpson. If we can't buy Waghorn and Simpson finds form then we'll welcome him back with open arms.. that's the way it works.. keeping options open..
Despite what Nige has said, I think he fully expects Jay to move permanently to Millwall in January. At the same time Waggy joins us.
so what happens if waggy is disappointing and simpson brilliant? what happens in terms of valuation? if leicester want £3million and millwall won't even pay £1million.?
If Simpson is brilliant and Waggy isn't, I suspect we'd just return Waggy and keep Simpson, but I think it's unlikely.
Garcia to Moooo Moooo @DavidAmoo1 yeah mate things are good ahead of schedule with my injury so I'm just looking forward to training & playing...how's your footy? ahead of schedule!
