for the club to get in there and tie up a deal for pieters asp.
i understand it might not be as quick as we hope due to his family death etc..

but also to get in and make a statement to the fans and get sturridge in...either on loan or buy, dont care.
can't believe he wasnt even on the bench for chelsea yesterday !
they just spent 20m on lukaku so he may be even further down the pecking order

looking at our performance on sat, a quick pacy striker is what we need ...not another clone of shola, ba or best

we have a much chance of me lining up against the mackems this weekend as we have of signing sturridge. would love it but its never gonna happen. ashley only wants to sign 'the next sturridge' not paying current sturridge prices.

Sturridge was suspended yesterday, hence, no bench appearence. However, when Lukaku is available and signed I can't see where Sturridge would fit in anyway. A loan deal for him would be amazing!!

I'd like to see Sturridge. Lets all work on the basis that the real reason for the lack of a striker signing is that they had wanted to wait until Chelsea settled on their squad!! A striker and a left back and I think we should be ok. Then as they have indicated, maybe some money in January depending how the season goes. Either to push on or secure our status.

Long looked good yesterday, I wouldn't have minded him beforehand but I was sitting thinking "his movement and work rate would have resulted in a win Saturday"
