By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 10:04 PM on 25th January 2012 QPR eye Moses, Diakite and Onouha as new boss Hughes makes his mark QPR are launching bids to sign Wigan's Victor Moses and Nancy midfielder Samba Diakité. Discussions regarding Moses took place on Tuesday. The Nigeria international has been one of the few bright spots for Roberto Martinez's strugglers this season. However, talks over an improved contract for the 21-year-old have hit the buffers casting doubt over his long-term future and Hughes is keen to take advantage by signing the talented forward this month. Diakite is a defensive midfielder who has been monitored by Arsenal, Udinese and Marseille. The Mali international is part of his country's African Nations squad but is set to fly in to London for talks ahead of a £3.5million deal which will possibly be a loan at first. Udinese were ready to offer £4m for the 23-year-old who was born and raised in France yet chose to play for Mali and QPR hope there are no work permit issues similar to that encountered with Brazilian striker Henrique. Hughes expects Nedum Onuoha's move from Manchester City to be finalised after he agreed personal terms after the clubs agreed a £2.75m fee plus add-ons. He also maintains an interest in Tottenham's Steven Pienaar although Tottenham have asked for £6m. I'd be happy to see Moses at QPR, but I can't help but be a little underwhelmed. He's a decent left winger, but doesn't get me that excited, I'm still waiting for that headline wonder signing that gets me really excited. Interesting to see about Diakite...especially as he's been followed by some top clubs. It also seems that Diakite has a bit of skill...or luck given the video below;
Not being a follower of other leagues I'm relieved to have heard of and even seen Victor Moses play. Think he would be great.
Not same player Dave, sorry. He's here though, 1:02 into the video. Amazing goal!
If he was born in France then he surely has dual nationality like Perone so shouldnt be any problems with work permit as he is an EU national. Confused by what the Daily Mail were/are getting at but it is well known they are lax in their research. Fingers crossed this is correct as he would then just require international clearance to play.
I would grab at the chance of signing Moses! Quality player, has all the tricks in his locker. Another playmaker and flair player we could have.
