Assuming everyone in our squad is fit and without a suspension we have a decent team. I am as gutted as everyone that we didn't sign a striker, but I think we can still push for a top 10 finish. Anyway the point of this thread is for a bit of formation porn:emoticon-0111-blush

So if everyone is fit how does this team sound

    Krul

    Simmo Saylor Colo Santon

    Tiote

    Obertan Cabaye Gutierrez

    Ben Arfa

    Best/Ba

Now I'm sure if Ben Arfa gets back to his best and Ba can produce the goal scoring ratio he had at west ham, then we can push for Top 10 finish

I think in Santon and Obertan in particular we have 2 very similar players in the sense that if they are playing with confidence, they genuinely have the potential to be world beaters, going off Man U and Inter fan's comments.

I'd have it similar to that but more like this...

    ----------------------Krul-----------------------

    Simmo---------Saylor--------Colo---------Santon

    -------------Cabaye---------Tiote---------------

    ------Jona------------HBA-----------Marv--------

    ----------------------Best------------------------

Subs - Harper, Willo, Obertan, Gosling, Vuckic, Sameobi and Ba

Anyone think we could have Marv and Jonas on the wings swapping between themselves to confuse defenders as the match goes on?

So when you put our squad ,when we get a few players back to full fitness, into perspective do you think we can push for top 10?

Our first team is great, it's just as soon as injuries and suspensions kick in we look a bit weak.

think its harsh to drop raylor hes really out shone simmo so i think i would go for
krul (as long as he sorts out his keeping from set peices)
    raylor saylor colo santon
    tiote
obertan (think he'll grow into that role) cabaye (whenever he's palyed defensive alongside tiote i think he's been ineffective) gutti (havnt seen enough of marveaux)
    benny
    best (he's mint :))

Add Santon to that and take Tavernier away. However when Tavernier returns I'd be tempted to shove him in at right back...he always impresses me and my Carlisle supporting friend says he has played very well for them.

Simmo atm seems wanting was nowhere near the 2 headers Fulham got in that were brilliantly saved by Krul. I`d have raylor in place of him

    Krul
    Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon
    Tiote Cabaye
    Obertan Ben Arfa Gutierrez
    Ba

    Harper - Williamson - Taylor - Gosling - Marveaux - Vuckic - Best

I though to putting Gutierrez on the right, but with Santon new to this league I would rather have him there so to cover Santon should he get over run. I have also picked Obertan over Marveaux as I believe with the sublime pace that he has he can cause genuine problems for defences and I think Marveaux will need time to bed in to the league after a long injury and coming into a new league together may be overwhelming.
