Just amazes me how these companies are always registered in Gibraltar or the West Indies. Makes them seem so dodgy right from the off and the fact that Ridsdale and Heaney are responsible for them, along with a Russian girlfriend, just reinforces my belief that Argyle as we know it are ****ed. Sorry if thats negative but if theres nothing dodgy about these companies do your business out in the open and with companies registered with names that mean something to a layman and make it easy for us to understand. And I don't need a lesson in why companies are registered "offshore", the bottom line is it's a bunch of crooks ****ing people over. For me Guilfoyle is crooked and hand in hand with another crook in Ridsdale, and they are in cohoots with Kevin Heaney! Another dodgy dealing prick involved with Argyle, and he's ginger! Basically guys we're ****ed and we all know it but we want to believe that all of these people are trying to rescue our club? Yeah good samaritans the lot of them. And a ginger prick with a Russian girlfriend lol. She fell in love with him for his looks I suppose! Two strikers have agreed to sign for us and then changed their minds overnight, and both had "compelling personal reasons" for changing their minds according to Ridsdale. Yeah they both woke up and smelled the coffee Riddler!
I know were all trying hard to believe that everythings ok and were better off than we were a few months ago but the simple truth is not one of us could put their hand on their hearts and tell anyone who actually owns Plymouth Argyle now and what our actual squad is for a season that begins in 13 days time! Who owns our ground, who is making the decisions on our future right now. All I know is that Peter Ridsdale is involved for Gods sake, and so is Kevin Heaney God help us! Kevin Heaney does not have the knid of money needed to put into Plymouth Argyle. Fact! So someone else is "supplying the funds" except they're not. Only in football could something like this be allowed to happen. I have had it with football. Overpaid prima donnas in the Premier League, run by fools only interested in the now. No thought for 5 years down the line. Ok if you support Man City or Chelsea, but how the **** can Manchester United be spending tens of millions of pounds on players with the debts they have? The fans hate the owners, but they are existing on other peoples money. How is that any different to how the world is in such **** financially because of greedy bankers? But instead of address these issues even more money is thrown at the big clubs whilst smaller clubs are left to die. Mancini saying in interviews this weekend they need another 3 or 4 world class palyers at Man City to compete for ****s sake! It isn't a case of being a great manager any more it's a case of how do you manage all 28 players on your books earning in excess of £100k a WEEK. My God the more I think about it the more it makes me sick. Argyle used to be my life and now I couldn't name more than 4 players in our team, whilst Man City have a dozen players earning more than £100k a WEEK that don't even make their bench. I'm 41 and sounding like a pensioner moaning about back in my day. It's still my day and football has gone to hell in a hand basket.
Couldn't have put it better Greenjock ! This just gets better and better ...... http://gillsconnect.com/s/Spotlight...h_boss_Reid_is_3-1_favourite_to_lose_job.html
Well it certainly is not looking Healthy! The forward from Rochadale never signed because Plymouth is so far away from any were, surely he knew that before he thought about signing? Or is there another reason we are not told of. Ginger needs to stay in Truro with the rest of his family
Clearly strong feelings about this but is it ruled by head or heart? As far as I recall this consortium, whoever they are, stated openly that they were not interested in the football side of this deal and the club would be sold to Ridsdale or at least he became the one who was here and would buy it. Why is the Administrator being called a crook? What exactly has he done that is crooked? I don't understand business and don't pretend to but I do understand that it is his remit to get a deal for the creditors. Was there a proven better one? Has Ridsdale been convicted of anything? Not to my knowledge yet and until he is then is an innocent man in the eyes of the laws of the land. If he is convicted then you can openly call him whatever you like. It just seems to me that a lot of people are simply upset because their preferred choice didn't win. This has led to all manner of conspiracy theories a bit like the Princess Di thing. Was she killed by the establishment or did she simply die in a motor accident. Dependant on your view of the establishment views are coloured no more than by some gut feeling. There is simply no evidence in the hands of the public to state so categorically that she was done away with. The same applies here. There is no evidence that Argyle are being sold down the river by anyone at the moment. There is little evidence of anything right now as nobody knows diddly squat what the details of all of it are. This has led to the same sort of gut feelings being trotted out by the ones who have not had their preferred way in it. Gut feeling is only that and there is simply no evidence that would stand up right now to point to that conclusion. The time for slinging the crap is when it is known and the proverbial has hit the fan in the deal. It may be too late then of course but slinging it now serves no purpose other than to get this sort of debate. Somebody please point me in the direction of the information required to make a judgement. Not what is happening elsewhere or the history of some of these people with previous deals they have done. Not a list of Companies we have never heard of and is meaningless. Just simply some cast iron evidence to back up the everyone involved is crooked statements. I don't just choose to ignore their history in the vein hope that all will be well with Argyle in the end. I would prefer everything to be out in the open and for those getting involved to be whiter than white but as there isn't a queue forming to buy the thing I and all of you are stuck with this deal like it or not.
Jock, we don't have to worry we will never be in the prem! what a mess, there may not be a premier league in 5 years if the all go pop. The sort of money some clubs are dealing is disgraceful, its our clubs that are suffering. We just need to get the season started and see what happens next.
I try to see the positive in every situation, but things that I hear coming out from the club has opened my eyes to just how bad the situation is ..... it is my opinion that we will start the new season still in administration, and that Plan A will fail when they think we have no chance of surviving ..... hoping that the FA will allow us a few weeks to get Plan B in place instead of wiping us out of the league !
Looking at the photo yesterday of Ridsdale (our owner for a £1) going to court, really inspires confidence don't it!
You may not think you know much about business Sensible but you're spot on there. My feelings on the list of companies is like yours - so what? Some of the connections are pretty tenuous. It's a very simple matter to find out who owns what. All limited company published accounts are required to identify their ultimate parent company and who their directors are. The reason so many holding companies are registered abroad is quite simply to minimise tax exposure. Some may not like it but it's [normally] entirely legal, which the little guy coming around to do your odd jobs for cash, no tax, no VAT most certainly isn't. Which one of you demands a VAT invoice and to pay the higher price? Multiply that up by 25m households and it's a lot of tax fiddled - properly, illegally fiddled, not legally managed.
The whole process has been shambolic. A hand-picked administrator who was always going to go with whatever Ridsdale wanted. Ridsdale has always said he never wanted control and was just trying to help the club survive blah blah blah. You watch Ridsdale and Guilfoyle when asked direct questions and its like a comedy double act. They look at each other for support and give out bullshit statements like they don't know who is behind the consortium? What the ****? And Kevin Heaney does not have the cash to fund the plans so he is just another George Synan trying to make a fast buck out of other peoples layout. The bloody Japanese takeover was a shambles but makes our current situation look rosy. When pressed for funds Kagami and Synan didn't have it so let us go to the wall practically and Heaney is just another fly by night ****er hoping to make a mint without putting in his own money to start with. Should get on well with Ridsdale then. And people still think Ridsdale has done anything for Argyle or is our saviour! He hasn't got the cash either and has been down this road before trying to raise funds by any means possible, forever trying to attract investement from outside sources and never able to come up the funds so he has to pull scams like the Cardiff season ticket sting. ****ing vultures are circling around our carcass and don't even have the balls to come out in the open and admit they're feasting while the club crumbles. Staff losing jobs they had for years and players not paid for months. It could be a YEAR before these players are paid for their job. Ok so they earn more than you or I but they are not on huge wages and try to imagine going 10 months without pay yourselves. No wonder people are changing their minds and not signing. Would you? Has Guilfoyle been paid for the great job he has been doing "impartially" getting the best deal for our creditors? Impartial my ****ing ass.
My sentiments exactly Greenjock-no matter how much I love the club and support the team,my patience is running out with this total balls up called laughably a buy out.Yes I will go and support, as long as the club is in business but right now i don't give a monkees **** for these jokers e.g Guilfoyle.Ridsdale,Heaney and the anonymous faces behind the offshore interests supposedly funding the process.Quite simply this situation is not what we want, that is obvious! but we as a club and fanbase and Plymouth DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS SHAMBLES.The very fact we have this situation is indicative of how much"they" care about P.A.F.C. basically "**** all".The signs are that this bid will go belly up-I just hope the football league take pity on us and are flexible in allowing Brent to step in at such a late hour, and prevent us going out of business.
I don't understand why anyone thinks PAFC deserves anything. I'm sorry to say it because it sounds like I'm being disloyal which is not the intention but the fact is that we're a geographically remote, financially ruined League 2 club without the support necessary to make an attempt at the higher leagues. It was notable from the Channel 4 documentary last week that the only clubs in demand - even from suspect sources - were those with Premier League history and/or potential - not my interpretation but what was said. The 2 Sheffield clubs, Leicester, Cardiff etc. The world does not owe PAFC and its fans a living I'm afraid and beggars can't be choosers.
Question greenjock and not asked just to be difficult either. Who appointed the Administrator? Was it Ridsdale? I ask this because it is my understanding that the Administrator is "appointed" and not picked by the business placed in Admin. Nobody as yet has pointed me in any direction that will show that any other bid for Argyle was better or indeed to any site that says what the bids actually contained. I suspect this is because they either don't know of one or one does not exist in the public domain. Whilst I would echo the sentiment that the people involved in all of this, excluding the Administrator, are not exactly the sort of people you or I would want to go into business with, there is simply no evidence they have done anything wrong here. Unless you are accusing the Administrator of being bribed or paid off then you cannot include him of wrong doing. Secrecy is not a crime. It is a tool in this case used for some reason by the purchasers which we as punters cannot understand. We have and wear our hearts on our sleeves for all to see regarding Argyle but just because people don't want to share with us does not necessarily mean they are corrupt etc. As I've already said, all there is is gut feeling currently which could come true in the future but at the moment is only that. I want details as much as the next person but I know now after all this time I'm not going to get them. The one thing I do believe is that there can be a plan B if plan A hits the deck. I would have thought it would be within the FA's interests to allow Argyle to continue if it is viable. There would be nothing served by excluding them.
Keep positive, Was it this Friday it is all being Completed? Some how i can't see that happening with all the **** that is flying about. I don't read none of it any more only read what's on here!
Well we all know about "business people" having to make hard decisions, and there may be good reasons to enact a secrecy clause, but the reasons appear to be for their benefit(whatever it is) not for the interests of the club or more to the point the poor sods, who as employees of Argyle have had their goodwill abused for so long.I suggest when Heaney, sits in the directors box at Home Park on Weds.he is subjected to a few awkward questions and jeers.Guilfoye has little credibility amongst the fanbase,Heaney's interests expressed via his girlfriends offshore connections,is hardly transparent and Ridsdale is in court. We will start league 2 in administration with all the consequences of a lack of cash flow.If they were decent and thoughtful, the preferred bidder would have not allowed this to happen.Plymouth and Argyle deserve better. Some reading this may construe my thoughts as naive and simplistic, but sometimes things need to be said directly,There is no evidence to indicate we are in safe hands now or in the future possibly.I for one don't believe Guifoyles assertion that no other bid is viable currently.
Nor do I akagreengull2 and have said all along that I can see no reason that is logical that says there cannot be a plan B. There is as much time as the powers that be allow there to be. It is only negative decisions that would stop it being possible. You are not being naive and lets be honest few of us are any kind of expert in the "dark" arts of business are we. Only they know why being secretive is a good thing. Nobody else can see the reasoning. The fact is that Heaney being present at Home Park might actually put a few on the gate given the number who want to abuse him or have done so on here. I personally don't think he will have aything to do with Argyle once the deal is signed so abusing him is not really going to move anything forward is it. Are we in safe hands ? Well who knows at the moment. Until proved otherwise there isn't a lot of choice in it is there. I don't agree with your Plymouth and Argyle deserve better having said that. Plymouth as a City have never really done much for the football club and Argyle are where they are because the previous owners put them there and frankly deserve nothing. However, if you say the supporters of the club deserve better then that is a different argument and I would agree with that. But, we ain't going to get better are we and they ain't going to tell us anything so it is still fingers crossed along with anything else you can find to cross and hope.
