The youth policy at the club is certainly working. Now it is the U14s who have fought their way to the top of a competition involving all 20 premiership clubs - beating Chelsea 4-2 in the final. I'm not an expert on the subject but it really does look as though we've got one of the best youth set ups around - all the teams (and I'm still confused about how many teams there are but never mind!) seem to be doing well in their various competitions and the players we've brought it at "senior junior" level seem to be quality. Obviously not everyone who is good as a junior will go on to make it in the PL (and obviously some will leave and go to other clubs) but even if a percentage of these youngsters come through into the senior team its very good news. You only have to look at Frei and briggs to see how good some of them will turn out! The future's bright!
