Derek McInnes is going to lead and manage our club, an absolute change and a new dream or vision for us to grasp. Steve Lansdown and Colin Sextone have gone for a man who has played and managed and successfully achieved promotions from level 2 to the top 5 of the Scottish Premier and had success captaining and leading sides in the EPL and Championship.. McInnes is a very stoical character,a deep thinker, canny, intelligent, leads from the front and is very trustworthy. As I have already said I just think he's young,a successful 4 years including a promotion in his last job,new ideas, new methods,no favourites,no prima donnas,no sodding old boys baggage with him, enjoys playing football on the ground and a complete contrast to what we've just had.. He brings with him a tried and tested partner in Tony Docherty, changes will happen, habits and culture will be different, management style, coaching, tactics and training will be developed and moulded in a steady and steadfast way. He will release and recruit players, his style is totally different from Millen both on and off the pitch and it will take time for the team to become his team and then the type of football we will playing will be fantastic once he is done, lots of wingplay and at a very high tempo and we will also have a great team spirit with a never say die attitude but in the meantime survival in the Championship is his determined goal. As a finale I would ask and as has been said elsewhere, let us all bind together, have patience, give him,the team, the board,in fact the whole club all the support we can and let him get on with his task,a very difficult task. What a fantastic change,it will be like a new season, we have got a lot to look forward to,good luck to BCFC and a real big welcome aboard to Derek McInnes and Tony Docherty. The future is RED,we all believe and time will prove it. Up the City.
A similar article was written when gaddafi took power in Libya... hope Mcinnes don't end up in a sewer drain pipe..... but ive got a feeling.....
Why would you bring that up when no one else mentioned it? Strange.. Kermogant scored any pens for you recently?
lovely a thread now off topic because of Fester fans Looking forward to seeing them both and what they can do to our team, bring on Brum
yeah lets keep on topic, ignore them. McWinnes will hopefully, guide us out of danger steady the ship, find us some top class gems get us promoted to the prem and all will be well....................................................or it could go tits up
Getting back to the original post..... Yes you're right - it is just like a new season. I remember lots of unrealistic optimism before this season started. People were understandably getting themselves up for it, imagining all sorts of positive scenarios. It only took a few weeks for the reality to sink in. Here's hoping we aren't gonna be there again. At least DM will hopefully get a bit more patience from the fans than Keef did - and rightly so. He cannot be blamed for any of the woes we currently have whereas Keef as No.2 for so long could. I really hope we get a lift - it won't take many points to move us up the table at this point, but if we don't improve rapidly it could be squeaky bum time by Xmas.
Delboy comes with no baggage,he has managed a club for 4 years albeit in Scotland and gained a promotion, also he served as a no 2 under Owen Coyle,he has played in the EPL,Championship and other leagues,he has served his apprenticeship as a manager and been successful,as a player and been successful, all at a higher level than Millen who never had any experience of Premier football and only ever managed us. As Colin Sextone said," We were looking for a manager on the way up and with no previous baggage". They've succeeded with Derek McInnes's appointment.. Edit..Patience is a must, our problems have got to be sorted and there will be testing times ahead.
It will either turn out very well for you, or it will be a disaster. I can't see much middle ground. City have developed a recent habit of turning good managers bad. One thing's for sure, he needs to hit the ground running as being 4 points adrift with confidence non-existant is not a good place to be.
I doubt we will hear from the Fester fans today with their sorry bunch 2-0 down. Isn't it amazing what all that money spent CAN'T buy you, which is a win...
I'm still trying to work out we now have a Del Boy, a uncle Albert I know we got rid of trigger (millen) but who is our Rodney
