As Captain Marvel has now left the club do we now implode or move on to better times./ Yes he was a great passer of the ball but as a captain I felt that we needed someone that could be seen to stamp authority on the pitch such as the likes of Ashley William and Gary Monk used to. In recent times when the team needed a kick up the...you could see MG shrugging his shoulders and not barking orders etc. Perhaps that was his style but I think our players needed more. Hopefully Ben Cabango can be more like the earlier captains and move us forward and up the league.
I’m hopeful that Cabango will grow into the role (ps - when was the last time that a Cardiff boy captained the Swans?)
Move on to better times. Maybe see a difference in the manager.See who is/was the boss in the dressing room.If you know what I mean.
I dont think LW wanted us to play that slow sideways football it was so negative and cot us so many points. Perhaps MG was a bit of a control freak towards the end of his time with us.
Maybe, just maybe I've sheared the sheep before time. We shall see. If I have I will be here to hold my hands up and apologise.
I did wonder about this with supposedly decent managers failing badly. Ideally, I'd rather the manager be able to deal with any "player power" and kick it in the nuts, so to speak. Especially at this level.
If there’s a grain of truth in this, we may see a fired-up Swans team playing positive attacking football at pace ……
Eom, Ronaldo and Franco - their translators weren’t there and they thought he was starting his team talk for Saturday……
