After this weekend is the worst part of the year for me. No more footie to watch (Euros don't count cause we will be out after 3 games) and the totally worst part is the never ending transfer rumour mill. I hate we get linked with every player with two legs and then take forever and a day to sign anyone.

I may go into hibernation until pre-season, lol

I quite like this time of year. It gives me a chance to do something with my weekends rather than watching football and pissing the wife off .
I can get out there and enjoy the sun.
Saying that though, I can't wait for next season .

A lot to look forward to tho' as long as we keep this manager and squad together, add two of three more Gems like the last three K's and see us moving onwards and upwards, happy days are here again, bask in the sunshine while it lasts, nothing like it. Its good to be off the Gus Bus and in the Sam Van. <laugh>

Cricket season Horden. I get to follow Durham.
They're coming down to Leicester for a 20/20 early June.
    Happy days.

I don't get cricket in Canada mate, much to my disappointment. I love my a bit of cricket, sitting in the sun supping beer all day and watching a live test match. Perfect!

I forgot to mention. I get the horrible supposed pleasure of the Baseball (rounders) season too. God must hate me!

The downside of being an ex-pat mate.

Been there, done that. No more.

I Blunham I agree there are some draw backs to being away from blighty. But the positives far outweigh the negatives for me like. I couldn't earn this much working in England doing the same job and would not have had the opportunity to open my own pub/brewery either.

I only mentioned the downside Horden. The plus sides are massive and you're taking full advantage of them. Kudos mate.

I fully intended to be a permanent expat 27 years ago. Life just got in the way.

I saw a lot of upside in Saudi. I also saw a lot of downside. I've never been so surrounded with so many alcoholics as I was out there. I guess it depends where you expat to.

You're living the dream out there mate, and I'm saying this for everyone on here, ****ing go for for it!!!

Most threads on here will be either OT or ****e transfer rumours.

Skip the rumours. This is the funniest time imo. This board is at its best when in full OT mode. Some reet mental funny ****ers.

Get a little hacked off as well with the constant transfer links but its all part and parcel of footy nowadays.
