    That was very enjoyable and a great advert for the club. There's little unearthed that the committed fan wouldn't know, but it brings everything the club will allow the outside world to know, and fits it all together into a nice programme. So even the committed fan can find satisfaction in it, because some of those little bits of unconnected data are seen here slotted together. For the casual fan or the person who is sportive but doesn't have a clue about Southampton FC it's a great positive. A recommended watch.

    What an excellent programme. If I was looking for a club to support this is just the sort of thing that would sway me, as well as the beautiful football we play of course. The club are obviously going for the global marketing strategy and why not? To compete at the highest level we have to build a fan base big enough to support the expenditure, and documentaries like that can only help that process.

    Great watch, thanks for posting. I think the club comes across very well, the philsophy, the facilities, the reputation and the future planning look very well taken care of. Really interesting to see and hear this stuff.

    Gutted they didn't call me to come shoot it though, guess the bucket list stays unchanged : )

    If I was to be utter critical I would have liked more detail about the clubs scouting, statistical analysis, training methods, the medical team and its links with Solent Uni etc and slightly less of the promo's

    Nicola wasn't above writing people out of our history, so the biter bit I suppose. However, Katarina isn't a Nicola, so it is a surprise that she has never acknowledged his contribution in the various videos released since her full assumption of power. It suggests there are a lot of things we don't know, but, even allowing for that, I am grateful to the Don for what he has done for Saints (whilst acknowledging that the place seems to be happier without him).

    Been speaking to speaking to some Americans (who have seen TSW), and they've said you have two types of 'soccer' fan in America.

    1) Eurosnobs - Only interested in the big clubs in Europe, and do not follow MLS.

    2) MLS fans - They follow their MLS club and generally take a wider interest, apparently.


    I received this message today, from a Chicago-based MLS fan.

    "We just had a documentary, "The Southampton Way", run on NBC Sports here in the states. The youth and scouting systems are remarkably similar. Good luck to the Saints this year. I hate Chelsea, Man U, and Man City and love you're giving them hell."
