Just seemed bit strange seeing as we will be in their backyard on Saturday. The chairman has quit because he is fed up with the abuse from the supporters but the real scary thing is the item on BBC Sport shows their last success was winning the League 2 title under guess who? Steve Cotterill.
They have plummeted back down the leagues ever since though Mike, and were by far the worst side I saw at Ashton Gate last season. Considering that they have the likes of Alan Smith (ex Leeds and Man U) and Roy Carroll in the team you'd think they would be faring a little better. Perhaps having over the hill pro's is part of the issue though ?
It does remind you that getting these apparent rich owners ain't always as it seems is it. Wonder who the next club might believe in this false dawn
They've got a nice stadium. Unfortunately they are dwarfed by forest at the moment. Both grounds are practically next to eachother which doesn't help
Just wondered how many other City fans are going to Meadow Lane on Saturday for SL's question and answer session at 1.0. There is room apparently for 500 and if we go in Arab clothing, that would create speculation.
just had a text back, they have declined my offer to buy them out for £9997.16p, said it is a few 0h's short .... lol
pray tell me what have stats to do with trying to buy a down and out football club? .... who have won 3 drawn 1 and lost 7 with 13 goals scored against 19 in their last 10 games, currently 19th in the league and away to Plymouth on Saturday
I play skittles with a Notts County fan - his opinion is too many bad appointments as manager by the recent owner
And therefore if Lansdown was serious about an assault on the Premiership within 5 years then he would (and should) have paid the money for a high profile and proven manager to help get us there. Perhaps he sees LJ as a stepping stone ?
