' The passing football was too much for show, too much about possession and trying to look good rather than having an end product. I could not see that changing.

Don't get me wrong, O'Driscoll is a really nice guy, a top coach, he has done well and did a good job at Forest.

But would he have got them over the line? I'm not too sure.'

    ......and the press added..

Nottingham Forest: I'm not an idiot, says O'Driscoll after gaining revenge on Forest

    http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/story-18116016-detail/story.html#axzz2KaDve0ES

' IN the final stages, as he repeatedly turned to stare into the directors' box in the stands behind the dugouts at Ashton Gate, it was about as close to gloating as Sean O'Driscoll was ever going to get.'

I think SOD is proving his point..

Interesting reading and I think it sums up the man quite simply in that he is, above all, a footballing man. Shunning the spotlight and being very reserved in his comments to the media is the mark of a man who knows what his job requires and he just goes out and does it without fuss or fanfare.

It must be clearly obvious to all of us by now that he really does know what he is doing and he also seems to have the vast majority of the players who have underachieved for so long finally reading from the managerial script.

Still a long way to go but I believe that Sean is our foundation for the future and we now need to keep our fingers crossed that his way is the right way to survival. Belief appears to be evident again at Ashton Gate.

SoD said he was looking for his family not the Forest Directors - only he will know
Everything he says makes sense - I like the man.
Interesting that both City and Rovers have erm .... (want to say dull) ....... lets go for managers who don't want to be in the spotlight - both seem to know what they are doing and have organised their sides to produce better results.
Ultimately SoD and John Ward are good men

The Forest fans all go on JA606. There are some interesting articles on their board - not particularly complimentary about Billy Davies which is a surprise.

Billy Davies wasn't universally loved the last time he was at Forest although he did win a large number over in the end
